“Op Sindoor”: Sudden rush of Patriotic Blood in the veins of Muslim Clergy & Politicians: Illusion or Reality

Anti-CAA and anti-NRC hooliganism exposed it all very unambiguously the real political intentions of Muslim Clergy, political leadership and intellectuals with regard to geopolitical entity called India. In their public speeches addressed to Muslims they threatened that they would block Chicken Neck to separate the N-E states from the Indian Union. The Muslim Clergy asked their followers to start digging graves for “Kafirs” to be buried in them; Indian TV channels telecast such videos of Moulvis. Students from AMU and Jamia Milia Islamia held anti-India protests in their campuses flaunting Jinnah’s photographs; one girl student while addressing the anti-India congregation pronounced that she doesn’t recognize India as a single geopolitical entity; the most vocal political leader of Muslims, Asaddudin Owaisi, organized a seminar in which one speaker raised slogans of Pakistan Zindabad! The princely political outfits including Aam Aadmi Party and the communists pooled in their energies to support it. Shaheen Bagh was created and used for all round India bashing while the Indian State remained a helpless spectator! Thanks to Corona else the hooliganism fuelled by anti-India and pro-Pak sentiment would have been allowed to reach dizzy heights!

The question that need to be answered is: why suddenly all of them took pro-India stand on Operation Sindoor? But before doing that it is necessary to briefly reproduce their statements in support of Operation Sindoor.

Statements extending Unequivocal Support to Indian government on Operation Sindoor:

But for Kashmiri Muslim leadership and the “Khans of Bollywood”, other known Muslim names publicly supported Operation Sindoor. Mehbooba Mufti’s open expression of love for her beloved Pak overflowed while criticizing the operation. Others remained silent like dumb do.

Maulana Chaudhary Ibrahim Hussain has come out in strong support of ‘Operation Sindoor’, hailing the Indian Armed Forces for their precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and also condemned Pakistan for turning sacred Islamic institutions like mosques and madrasas into hubs for terrorism. Stressing the actual essence of Islam, Hussain explained that terrorism contradicts the very ethos of the faith. Maulana Hussain clarified that Islam is a religion of peace and humanity, not a tool for justifying bloodshed or radicalization. Mosques are for worship not terror training.

Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali, a senior executive member of the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board and head of the Islamic Centre of India, described Operation Sindoor as a necessary and commendable action. “After the brutal killing of 26 innocent people in Pahalgam on April 22, the entire nation was waiting for such a decisive action. This will certainly weaken the morale of the terrorists,” he said.

All India Shia Personal Law Board general secretary Maulana Yasoob Abbas congratulated PM Narendra Modi and defence Minister Rajnath Singh “for taking this bold decision”.

In Bareilly, All India Muslim Jamaat president Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi said the operation sent a strong message globally that “India will go to any extent to protect its citizens and borders”. Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) said terrorism was a heinous crime against humanity and its eradication was essential for safety, security and peace in India.

AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaddudin Owaisi was among the most prominent Muslim political leaders to welcome Operation Sindoor. He posted a video on X in which he raised the slogan, “Pakistan Murdabad, Bharat Zindabad”.

General secretary of Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Hind, Maulana Kalbe Jawad Naqvi, said, “We stand firmly with our armed forces under all circumstances”. Shia cleric, Maulana Yasoob Abbas, said, “I salute Indian Army for precision with which it carried out Operation Sindoor”. President of Shia Chand Committee, Maulana Saif Abbas Naqvi, said, “The operation brought justice to our married sisters whose ‘Sindoor’ (vermillion) was desecrated by terrorists.”

Jai Palestine to Bharat Zindabad is Metamorphosis but Defiance of Islam:

Asaddudin Owaisi is an acknowledged tallest Muslim leader in India. By his public speeches it’s easy to make out that he is 21st century Jinnah and is a symbol of deep ingrained anti-Hindu sentiment. Jai Palestine was his heart’s cry and Jai Bharat is opportunism par excellence. Yet both defy basic tenets of Islam. Few of his (and Muslim clergy) publicly made statements are reproduced in the text below.

“We bow only to Allah”. “Islam prohibits Muslims to sing National Anthem, chant Vande Mataram and bow before Indian Tricolour”. These statements they make to hide their agenda of promoting Muslim separatism under the cover of Islam. That they are a thoroughbred communalist, became evident by his question in the Lok Sabha on Delhi riots. He asked, “how many Muslims were killed in Delhi riots”? He called Delhi riots as Genocide of Muslims whereas all the evidence pointed towards Muslim initiation of the riots led by AAP Muslim leaders.

While addressing an election rally in Hyderabad on 7th April, 2024, Asaddudin Owaisi publicly declared,” I am Gazi and shall be the Gazi till last”. Who is a Gazi? The one who slaughters “non-believers” if they don’t accept Islam. His exact words in his speech in Urdu are reproduced here as under

دنیا میں رہینگے تو گازوں کی طرح رہینگے نہیں تو موت ایئ تو شہادت کو پسند کرینگے لیکن حشر کے میدان میں اپنے ما باپ کو شرمندہ نہیں ہونے دینگے انشا الله

दुनिया में रहेंगे तो गाज़िओं की तरह रहेंगे नहीं तो मौत आयी तो शहादत को पसंद करेंगे लेकिन हश्र के मैदान में अपने माँ बाप को शर्मिंदा नहीं होने देंगे इंशा अल्लाह!

On Waqf Board Amendment Bill, he said,” You want to take this country back to the ‘80s and early ‘90s, it will be your responsibility,”; “will lead to social instability”; “Narendra Modi is firing bullets at our chests”, etcetera, etcetera. It can’t get more provocative than that. Through this statement he has, in fact, confirmed the role of Muslims in India in the Genocide of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir and “Khalistan movement” in Punjab. So, in the background of his statements as quoted, the question arises as to what made him say “Jai Bharat” with Tiranga draped around his head?

Why this Sudden Rush of Patriotic Blood?

The thinking on the part of the Indian government has been and continues to be that if the launching pads/ “terrorists’ infrastructure” and institutions- which offer logistic support to “cross border terrorism”- stationed in Pak and POJK are neutralized or at least weakened it shall help maintain “peace” in the UT of J&K. By implication, the Indian government holds Pak squarely responsible for whatever has been happening in J&K beginning 1986 and absolves local Muslim population in J&K and other parts of India including their religious and political leadership of any role in what has been termed as “cross border terrorism”.

So, it’s very pragmatic of Muslim political and religious leadership to support India on her stand of holding Pakistan squarely responsible for whatever bloodshed is engineered in different regions of J&K because the more the Indian State busies itself with engaging Pak the more confident the traitors within feel to plan and work out their long-term agenda of India’s balkanization because they may cease to be on the Indian intelligence Radar. Remember Ghazwa 2047 and anti-CAA hooliganism

Pahalgam Carnage and Provocative statements of Asaddudin Owaisi:

Asaddudin Owaisi has been straining hard to prove his Indian credentials to the world as a member of the Indian delegation which is touring different countries to explain Indian position on Operation Sindoor. He has been too critical of Pakistan’s role in cross border terrorism and has gone to the extent of ridiculing Pak leadership. Post Pahalgam Carnage he demanded strict action against Pakistan as did some section of the Muslim Clergy. In all their public statements and media interviews they have been busy promoting Islam as “religion of peace”. While all this grand and well thought over theatrics are going on, it may be useful to analyse Asaddudin Owaisi’s public statement in context of Waqf Board Amendment Bill 2024 which was passed in the Parliament in 2025.

On Waqf Board Amendment Bill, he said,” You want to take this country back to the ‘80s and early ‘90s, it will be your responsibility”; “will lead to social instability”; “Narendra Modi is firing bullets at our chests”.

He, in fact, made it clear to one and all that Modiji had given them the opportunity to create such conditions in the entire country as existed in the states of Punjab and J&K in the 80s and 90s. It also implies that the Muslim Clergy and Political Leadership across India had played a proactive role in the Genocide of Kashmiri Pandit community in Kashmir forcing the entire community to flee to various parts of India. What needs to be remembered always is that Muslim politics backed by their Clergy across India is an integrated activity because their politics is inspired by Islam which denies Right to Life for “non-believers”. And, the self-declared “guardian and protector” of Islam is Pakistan and so it’s the bounden duty of Muslim Clergy and Political Leadership in India that they help further Pak agenda in regard to India.

Immediately after such provocative statements Pahalgam Carnage happens! Was it a pure coincidence? Or, well-coordinated act of the sympathizers of Pakistan in India? It doesn’t take them much time to strike because their “warriors of Allah” are ever ready to be in the “Cause of Allah”. This has been very much evident from their spontaneous attacks on Hindu religious processions and venues of festival celebrations. One saw how they struck in Bengal post passage of Waqf Board Amendment Bill 2024 and made Hindus flee their homes and hearths!

Muslim leadership need to prove their Patriotism not by their Rhetoric but by Deeds:

For sure they have all the information about various sleeper cells and their handlers in India. They know which “Armies of Allah” are being nurtured in Madrasas and Mosques. They also know the modus-operandi for stock piling of arms, ammunitions, swords, knives and stones on terraces/ storage spaces of Muslim houses essentially in the areas where they are in a majority or in sizeable numbers. They also know about provocative sermons rendered by Moulvis in mosques on Fridays.

Therefore, if Muslim political and religious leadership is truly patriotic then it must come forward and assist Indian intelligence agencies in neutralizing sleeper cells, their handlers and assets. They must carry out the campaign to clear Muslim houses of all the weapons and arms they possess.

Now that Asaddudin Owaisi has raised Jai Bharat slogan and draped his head in Tricolour, he should persuade entire Muslim Clergy and politicians to do so and bow to Indian Tricolour and sing National Anthem. All madrasas should hoist National flag on Republic Day and sing National Anthem.

Islam- “Religion of Peace”:

If Islam is truly a “religion of peace” then they must ensure that madrasas and mosques stop being fertile lands for sowing intolerance and hatred towards non-Muslims in India; ensure that “in the Cause of Allah” no barbarism is inflicted on Hindu religious processions and no Hindu temples are desecrated and no Hindu houses destroyed post Friday Namaz congregation.

If Islam is truly a “religion of peace” then they must play a visibly positive role in reversing the genocide of Kashmiri Pandit community which was carried out under the banner of Islam and frenzy of rape, killings and calls to convert raised by screaming “Allah-O-Akbar”. Firstly, they must acknowledge Kashmiri Pandit genocide committed by their fellow Muslims. They must publicly condemn the barbarism inflicted on Kashmiri Pandit Community -not done till date- and submit a public apology to the community for their fellow Muslims having defiled Islam and brought disrepute to it. They must denounce desecration and destruction of Hindu temples in J&K as also Churches and Gurudwaras; volunteer to rebuild them with their financial contributions because as per them “Islam teaches brotherhood” and thus atone for the sins of their fellow Muslims.

Last but not the least, they must denounce barbarism of their fellow Muslims in Bengal and declare support for Hindus in the process of their rehabilitation in their places of residence, because “Islam teaches brotherhood”. It also makes Zakat obligatory on every Muslim; that Zakat should be collected and utilized for rebuilding destroyed Hindu houses because “Islam teaches brotherhood”.

Act against Pak but don’t overlook the Enemy within:

Unless the enemy is within, no external force can intervene to perpetuate barbarism inside a country. The “Bhaktas” of Sri Ram should know; the “scholars” of Ramayana should know. The least they should remember from Ramayana is: “Ghar ka bedhi Lanka Dhayae”. The true Indians should know the Vibhishans of our country in the context of Islam’s Ideology and Pakistan and come together to checkmate them.
