Communal Politics beneath Demography Rant
Communal Politics
beneath Demography Rant
(The People need to
respond appropriately)

It is paradoxical
that the Dogras do not lay any claim over the geographical area – Kashmir, POK
and Gilgit Baltistan (GB)- whereas the Kashmiri Muslim leaderships have been
claiming that they wholly and solely own Kashmir because they are in a
majority. The Dogras need tell the entire Kashmiri community including the
residents of POK and GB that they were purchased wholesale by Maharaja Gulab
Singh for a consideration of seventy five lac rupees and therefore the
ownership of the region lies with them as the Maharaja was a Dogra. This kind
of a posture by the Dogra community can be a powerful snub to Kashmiri Muslim
leaderships who lay congenital claims over Kashmir Valley and succeed in
keeping the society divided. If the entire geographical area is evaluated in
terms of its natural resources then for a sum of Rs. 75 lacs the cost of an
individual would turn out to be miniscule. Therefore, the Dogras are entitled to
lay claim over all the natural resources of the region. Does not this kind of
reasoning sound inhuman and illogical? Yes, indeed, but the malicious and
venomous politics engaged in by the Kashmiri Muslim leadership since inception
deserves only this kind of response. For, if ‘diamond cuts diamond’ then its
political extension may be ‘Irrationality cuts Irrationality’.
Communalism in the
Blood (Founding Muslim Conference):
Late Sri Sheikh
Mohammad Abdullah obtained post graduation degree from Aligarh Muslim University
and on his return to Kashmir sought a teacher’s job which he failed to get
after going through the due process. His failure to get a job gave birth to a
theory that Maharaja Hari Singh’s rule was tyrannical and exploitative in
nature. Maharaja’s subjects included people of many religions including
ethnicities, but Sheikh philosophized that only Kashmiri Muslims were being
victims of the ruler’s tyrannical rule. So, he founded a political party, after
due deliberations with people of coinciding thought process, and named it
‘MUSLIM CONFERENCE’.
So, under the
banner of Muslim Conference, Sheikh was to fight for the rights of only
Kashmiri Muslims and not even for those Muslims who spoke a language different
from Kashmiri. There cannot be better evidence than this for recognizing Sheikh
as the politician who laid the foundation for communal politics in the erstwhile
princely state of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).
From Muslim
Conference to National Conference:
Having enthroned
himself as the Messiah of Kashmiri Muslims, time during which Indian
independence struggle was gaining heat- he came in touch with leaders of Indian
National Congress including Pandit Nehru and who advised him to rechristen his
political outfit as ‘National Conference’ from being ‘Muslim Conference’ if he
wanted to be a part of a larger political movement in the Indian Sub Continent.
So, his opportunistic traits made him to follow suit immediately and thus
‘Muslim Conference’ came to be known as ‘National Conference’, but intent,
character and thought process (rabid communal mind) does not change easily and
Sheikh lived up to this saying (axiom) till his death.
Muslim Rule:
It is an undisputed
historical fact that Muslim invaders including Mughals ruled over Kashmir for
centuries and committed genocide of Hindus (the Pandits) and also desecrated
their places of worship. Yet, the Pandits – whoever managed to remain in the
valley despite persecution- learnt Persian and Arabic and became relevant to
the establishment in many/some ways. The point being made is that despite all
tyrannical environments (not to forget the atrocities of Aurangzeb, the beloved
of Muslims like Assaddudin Owaisi as they love Mughals) the Pandits did not
give up learning and did learn new languages as also tried to assimilate as
much of a new culture as they could, but the Kashmiri Muslims remained
uneducated and uninformed. They were never a part of the ruling elite. Why?
The question I have
been trying to find an answer is that why despite 800 years of Muslim rule the
Muslims in India remained in a state of abysmal poverty and ignorance? All the
talk of Islamic Nizam and its jurisprudence and equality/ brotherhood etcetera,
why 800 years of Muslim rule failed to emancipate the Muslims who had been
converts either by choice or by force? It is important for those who have been
carrying out Jihad against the Kafir Nations to establish the Islamic Sultanate,
to brood over such historical facts and not blame others for their deeds.
However, the gist of the Islamic rule is that the Hindus who were forcibly
converted to Islam or willingly adopted it remained exploited under the torch
bearers of Medina Riyasat.
Maharaja Rule:
Post Islamic rule,
Sikhs ruled Kashmir and post Anglo Sikh war; Gulab Singh purchased the
territory for Rs. 75 lacs. Whom could the Maharaja induct into administrative
offices; whose assistance could he seek? Maharaja certainly would not employ
the uneducated/ unlearned vast population of Kashmiri Muslims and therefore the
literate and learned Pandits and Dogras found opportunities to be in Maharaja’s
durbar and associated public offices. This realistic situation was declared
tyrannical by Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah and he called Maharaja’s governance
being discriminatory against Kashmiri Muslims. It is a different matter though
that during the years I lived on the banks of River Jhelum, my interactions
with boat people told me a totally different story and which was diametrically
opposite to the perceptions built up by Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah. The boat
people remembered Maharaja very fondly and always spoke of him in a very
emotive tone.
The Demography
Phobia:
It is a known fact
that under every Chief Minister, post 1975, the Muslims from Bihar and UP were
imported and assimilated into the Kashmiri society in a very planned and
conscientious way throwing so called special status and 35 A to winds.
Demography did not matter because Muslims were being settled and this was
nothing but continuation and extension of communal politics as initiated by
their tallest leader Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah who was also referred to as ‘BAB’
with lot of reverence. Article 35 A was misused to ensure that systematically
the state subject status of Pandits was snatched away from them.
The Domicile Cry:
The man who, as the
CM of erstwhile J&K state, used to enjoy motorbike rides with Bollywood
damsels and ran away to play golf in London in 1990 is now shouting from roof
tops about how Domicile law is unconstitutional. He and his ilk – all the so
called political parties in the Valley- dare not speak about abrogation of Art
370 because they all know that their ‘BAB’ put a stamp of abrogation on it in
1974. That kind of a farce cannot be replayed that they did for 46 long years
only to traumatize the entire society of the erstwhile J&K state. The
Pakistani pawn (but mainstream crowd’s covertly revered leader) has been kicked
out by his bosses across the border forcing him into resigning from the
Hurriyat. China has stationed 1,50,000 troops in POK and GB thus subjugating
the sovereignty of mainstream’s beloved country Pakistan and hence no more
instigating youth for stone pelting and raising Azadi slogans and therefore
only issue that can bring in turmoil in the society is that of ‘Domicile’.
These political
criminals who should be tried for traumatizing Kashmiri society are now again
scheming for a diabolical path.
Misconceived Notions:
What is this noise
about demography? How does its immutable or mutable character affect the
process of bringing in peace and prosperity in the region? How relevant is this
concept of ‘No Demographic Change’ in organizing societies in a civilized way?
The reply to all these kinds of questions is: It is irrelevant to the cause of
the people.
Late Sri Muhammad Ali
Jinnah and his set of rabid Moulvis coined a theory that Muslims can’t be ruled
by Hindu Kafirs because it is disallowed in Islam. A separate country was
handed over to them which were to be a model Islamic State for Islamic world to
emulate. Pakistan brought up their generations after generations on India
(Kafir) hatred; developed a thousand cuts theory; sponsored terrorism in
J&K state and Punjab; waged 4 wars on India; swore by disintegration of
India, etcetera. In the process of doing so Pakistan ended up losing East
Pakistan; becoming enslaved territory of China; engineering riots between Shia
Sunni and other Muslim sects, etcetera. Today it is indebted to an extent where
it may have to cede its territories to China; it could not face Covid-19; it
has no reserves on any front to come to the rescue of its people in emergency
situation, etcetera. All this happened and continues to be even when Pakistan
had annihilated minorities and there was no threat to its culture (if it ever existed),
religion and demography. So!!!
The self proclaimed
and ‘I scratch your back , you scratch mine’ kind of leaders- who never went
out of their street, mosque or mohalla except for relishing Kebabs with their
masters in Pakistan Embassy in New Delhi- too wanted to join Pakistan because
it was Islamic state and Kashmir was Muslim majority. So!!!
Being overzealous
about anything like, value system; belief system including religious faith stagnates
a society and becomes singular cause for its degeneration. More than 5 decades
of misconceived notions, political debauchery and religious fanaticism combined
with an obsessive relationship with Art 370 (nonexistent since 1964- post
Kamraj Plan) achieved only destruction of life and property at unprecedented
scales and more than that achieved moral degeneration of unimagined proportions
by institutionalizing prostitution in the Valley (nonexistent in pre 1990 era) and
elsewhere in the erstwhile state of J&K. Fundamentally, all that happened
which according to the intellectuals of Islamic faith is disallowed in Islam
and therefore un Islamic. So the paradox is that those who wanted to secede
from Kafir India to join with Islamic Pakistan ended up being a non Islamic society.
Honest Intent is
Important:
Being a Hindu, a
Muslim or a Christian, a Bodh, a Jain or a Parsi has nothing to do with a
heterogeneous society being civilized. Democratic or Autocratic dispensation;
socialism, capitalism or communism schools of thought; of all these, whatever
combination one may choose to organize and govern societies; the results won’t
be encouraging unless the leaders who chose a particular combination have
honest intent.
The leadership of
Kashmir had never in their blood to be honest when it came to leading people
for people’s sake. They always led for their own sake and one finds that not a
scratch came to them in last three to four decades while many lives were lost
and disfigured.
The new Domicile
Law is similar to what it is in other states of India; the ‘play boys’ and self
proclaimed ‘Bhagat Singhs’ of Kashmir who, for long, masqueraded as leaders of
Kashmiri Muslim community should wake up to the reality that they are now
residents of a Union Territory and there is no Article 370 for politics of
blackmail to go on.
A Non Issue:
If Kashmiri Muslim’s
leadership (the ONE responsible for degenerate value system) is opposing new
Domicile Law then they must ask and ensure that all the Kashmiri Muslim
businessperson wind up from all the nooks and corners of India because by
becoming inhabitants of those places they too are disturbing demography of
those towns and cities. For, change is a change in absolute terms. It can’t be
theory of ‘play boys’ and ‘Bhagat Singhs’ of Kashmir that only Muslims have a
right to change demography of a given region outside of Kashmir. If one talk
about % change in the population ratio then it is going to be very miniscule in
every part of India including Kashmir and it does not come in the way of
progress a society wants to embark upon.
Real Issue:
Across all parties
in Kashmir valley, their respective leaderships are feeling like fish out of
water post formation of UT. Pre 5th August 2019, all the provocative
public speeches and tweets did not help in creating mass scale disturbance in
the Valley, though the reasons for that need to be deciphered in due time. A
respite of 2 years before announcement of elections is like being reborn after
death. The politicking had to start and therefore those accustomed to
degenerate politics started the way they are known to. So, it all depends upon
the people as to how they respond to such leaders who have essentially become clueless
and therefore irrelevant.
The tragedy is
bound to repeat if the people once again fall prey to machinations of this
degenerate political class. Geelanis and Co are bound to be reborn as are the
Muftis and Abdullas supported by the likes of Owaisis, Mamtas and Kejriwals; therefore
the people have to be on the alert and combine in a way to synthesis an
alternate political leadership.
