Condemnation of the
killing of Ajay Bharti (Pandita), Sarpanch, will not help; denouncing it as a
dastardly/cowardly act will not help because this kind of rhetoric have been
going on for decades now. Ironically most of the times the perpetuators of the
crime are the first ones to denounce it. It is not difficult to pin point
politicians who have a double face; one for the external world and the other
for internal world’s scheming to create panic, mayhem and disorderliness in the
society. What adds to their strength is that only the executor of their plans
is punished while they go scot free. Like, those who shot at Indira Gandhi were
punished, but those who planned it to perfection were not.
Security forces may
find the killer and execute him, but those who successfully brought the
situation in the region of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) to what it has been
since 1988 are doing business as usual and are listed under the most
respectable citizens of J&K. Unless the real schemers are brought to book
the merchants of death will keep thriving. Politicians have to be made
accountable -for the constituencies they represent- in all respects be it,
economical, law and order, social harmony, sane politics, religious tolerance, etcetera.
Degenerate
Political Framework:
Politicians can get
away with anything that they may speak in the Parliament and State Assemblies; in
their public speeches they get away after using most derogative expressions
against their political opponents; publicly they accuse their opponents of
negligence, inefficiency, incapability and financial misappropriation resting
assured that they will get away with it. All acts of such kinds help promote
antagonism within the society which has the potential to traumatize it.
The anti CAA
protests as instigated by the politicians belonging to the opposition parties post
passing of the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) is a remarkable event that
explains how they can get away with anything irresponsible and against the
interests of the Nation that they do in public and in this case it was tantamount
to challenging the very supremacy of the Parliament publicly for the purpose of
creating chaos on the streets and driving the wedge between the two major communities
of our country; knowing pretty well that the CAB could be challenged in the
Supreme Court. Venomous speeches were delivered from public platforms only to
go unquestioned. This attitude of looking the other way encourages criminalization
of politics and is detrimental to the health of societies.
The Chief Minister
of Delhi declared in the Assembly that he and all his MLAs don’t have birth certificates
and therefore they were opposing National Population Register (NPR) and
National Citizenship Register (NCR)! So they passed a resolution against CAA
and NPR NCR in their assembly. Can they pass resolution against an Act of
Parliament? They get away with it!! But for Corona invasion this was enough
fuel to create utter chaos and disorderliness in the entire country. In this
country every one, most backward and illiterate, will tell his/her date and
year of birth because it is recorded since ages by family elders. It has been a
tradition to do so because without it Kundli cannot be prepared and the resume
of a Hindu is not complete without a horoscope.
The Chief Minister
of West Bengal is too famous for all kinds of acts and may not need any
recounting here.
Politicians and
religious heads seem to be hand in glove when it comes to creating chaos in the
society because mass mobilization on religious grounds can be effected only by
Dharm Gurus and Moulvis/Maulanas. So, on the instigation of politicians, the
religious heads brought out videos abusing the other community supported by
calls for digging graves for them as also establishing Islamic rule in India. A
very serious situation, but politicians are allowed unrestricted freedom; it
may not be out of place to state that those videographers and religious leaders
may be taken to task, but politicians seem to be above law.
The Ignorant and
Enslaved Minds:
The erstwhile J&K
state has been a victim of politics of opportunism; always blaming others for
their (local politicians) misdeeds; putting the charge of betrayal on Delhi; perpetually
keeping Kashmiri Muslims under a state of political ambivalence and fed with a
history that would represent an inverted pyramid. The most remarkable thing is
that the present generation too has been ingrained with the same content that
essentially ended up traumatizing the society. The author had a very
interesting experience, some years ago, while discussing Kashmir situation with
some Kashmiri Muslim youngsters. With no arguments left in their favour, they
declared with full confidence that the UN Resolution was framed by a Kafir (meaning
a Hindu representing India)!! There was this youngster who asked: How could
Hari Singh be Maharaja of Kashmir which was 95% Muslim!!! So, the corollary to
the theorem was: How could Emperor Akbar rule India which was 98% Hindu? Like
that many examples can be cited which will narrate how hopeless the
understanding of History they have. Primarily, they are trained to understand
history only from a point of view of religious divide.
The press release
by the organization that took the responsibility of killing Sri Ajay Bharti
talks about INDIAN OCCUPATIONAL FORCES; these three words suffice to
tell the kind of history they are indoctrinated with. Their masters may be
across the borders, but their ideologues are well ensconced in local areas.
These killers are basically well programmed robots who are not in synch with
changing political narratives, but feel empowered and all powerful with guns
and ammunition under their belt and in addition it’s their employment. Indoctrinated
with their religious philosophy of life hereafter, they are essentially in
pursuit of favour from ALLAH on the Day of Reckoning. What has helped make their
indoctrination easier is the false propaganda of how Muslims in India are being
tortured and exploited; the response to this kind of propaganda by the
erstwhile rulers was to look the other way because of vote bank politics. So
Batla House had to be a false encounter; simultaneously two diametrically
opposite acts were done: 1) accusing police of fake encounter and 2) honouring
the cop with police medals. So, police morale remained high and the gullible people
were assured of support!!
Some saner minds
need tell these guns empowered youth that any Nation State – howsoever big or
small- is quite capable of eliminating insurgency in due time and therefore no organization
– even if supported by a mighty neighbouring nation- can ever think of
defeating a Nation State’s might. North East regions and Naxalism in India are
examples of failed attempts and likewise LTTE in Sri Lanka. They need to
remember that LTTE was very powerful set up which controlled nearly 30% of the
region in Sri Lanka and it was not fighting any other nation’s proxy war. It is
nonexistent now, because a political decision was taken to efface it from the
face of the Earth.
New Chip on the
Block:
Now, we have Sri
Shah Faesal, ex IAS officer; served for ten years and left service because he “felt
chocked”. He found his mentor and Guru in Er Rashid because he found him to be
the best among the lot. The others – experts in political chicanery and
responsible for traumatizing J&K- wrote him off immediately and which was
quite reasonable because to reach their levels of political debauchery Shah
Faesal would take, perhaps, years.
In his recent
interview to BBC he claims that his three generations have been betrayed
(attribute of putting the blame on others); that is 1) his grandfather’s (when
Sheikh was hand cuffed by an ordinary cop), 2) his generation: when 1987
elections were rigged (who could rig them? Who was running administration? Who were
on election duty?), and 3) present generation: 5th August, 2019.
Anybody who has
read J&K history on his own and read commentaries by political analysts
will know that Shah Faesal is nothing but old wine in a new bottle. History as
suits him and so, does he portend higher levels of turbulence in days to come
in Kashmir?
Shah Faesal Sir:
There was no betrayal on 5th August, 2019 because a nonexistent Art
370 was removed; what in fact was a historical event was separating Ladakh from
J&K and reconstituting them as Union Territories. Why? Find out from
revenue records and utilization of central funds in the three regions, but more
than that find out from Pakistan and the so called Separatists who were
confused between Azadi and Merger with Pakistan.
Rigging in
elections can be done only through local machinery that is through such local
staff put on election duty (Faesal Sir: you may appreciate it if you were ever
involved with the conduct of elections). In any case conduct of elections is responsibility
of the local government run by incumbent political party. So, find out who was
in power then and ask him/her.
Sheikh Mohammad
Abdullah was hobnobbing with Pakistan even after he was made PM and protected
under Article 370. Indian State couldn’t have offered him plateful of Ghostaba,
Rista, and Pulav for his anti state act. I thought you would know it better
having written IAS examination. Moreover, Sheikh was under house arrest and not
in jail; and he was looked after very well. On finding him very healthy in
1962, on parole, rally in Srinagar, and the locals whispered: was he in a jail
or in a house boat!!
Shah Faesal Sir:
What about betrayal with the Pandits when Sheikh implemented land to the tiller
act without any financial compensation to the land lords (the Pandits)? Do you
know that it caused first major exodus of the Pandits from the valley? What
about betrayal with Pandits when post 1964 they were discriminated against for government
jobs and admissions in professional educational institutions? What about
betrayal with Pandits when riots were engineered against them in 1988; there
was no RSS there. The list is long enough, Mr. Shah Faesal.
More importantly,
Faesal Sir: what about betrayal of Kashmiri Muslims by local Muslim leadership
both mainstream and separatists? Why don’t you ask them? Who traumatized them? Why
and when did flesh trade start in Kashmir? Pre 1990, there was no
institutionalized prostitution in Kashmir; do you think that’s a huge
betrayal!!
Now, what’s most
amazing here is that an educated person who appeared for IAS and, perhaps,
topped has this inverted sense of history; he has no idea about Art. 370, but
if he has then his statements should wake Indian State from a state of
contentment to that of high alert, because a catastrophe is in the making.
All questions being
in their place, politically most important question is:
Have the political
leaders been released from house arrest conditionally or unconditionally? It
will be years before this question gets answered by implication.
Tribute to Ajay
Pandita:
Indeed very
courageous act to become Sarpanch in an area infested with terrorists indoctrinated
to kill. This singular act is the only way to teach a historical lesson to the
merchants of death supported by depraved politicians. You have become immortal.
