There are/were no Pro India "Mainstream" political parties in UT/State of J&K Mr. LG: Lalit K Kaul

There are/were no Pro India "Mainstream" political parties in UT/State of J&K Mr. LG

                                                                                                                                     Lalit K Kaul

Mr. LG, in your chat with Rising Kashmir you stated that you would talk to the people of J&K and "Mainstream" political parties. That you believe that the "Mainstream" political parties are pro India, it betrays either your ignorance about these parties' political ideology or your desperation to talk to them in absence of  any other alternative.

Basic Ideology of "Mainstream":

The basic ideology of all these political parties is based on their religion, no matter what their respective constitutions may be. They believe in Pan Islamism and therefore have no sense of belonging to secular and democratic Indian Union.

The first proof of their being communal minded - catering to the needs of Muslims, if at all- lies in the fact of Sheikh Abdullah naming his political outfit as "Muslim Conference" in his bid to fight what he called tyrannical rule of the Maharajah of the erstwhile princely State of J&K, Sri Hari Singh. So he represented only Kashmiri Muslims not even Gujjar Bakarwals of the Valley. Later on why did he change his outfit's name to "National Conference" is a matter of detail and not a subject matter in this article.

Sheikh Abdullah's heir apparent Sri Farooq Abdullah won a 2/3rd majority in 1996 Assembly elections and the only thing he did in his term as a CM was to bring out a report that suggested that the J&K State be reorganised to comprise 8 districts, of which 7 would be Muslim majority! The suggested reorganisation was to be on communal fault lines. He submitted the report to the then PM of India who shelved it.

Farooq Abdullah tirelessly suggests that India should talk to Pakistan to resolve "Kashmir" problem! Can you Mr. LG or your leadership in Delhi ask him what "Kashmir" problem is/was & why should India talk to Pakistan? No, none of you will ask him. Any honest politician would never suggest what this man has been since decades. The reason being that he and his JKNC ideology is Pan Islamism and therefore sympathies have to be with Pakistan no matter how right or wrong Pak's actions are. Farooq also incites people on Art 370. The founder of his political outfit was a big admirer of Jinnah, but his misfortune was that Jinnah never trusted him; how right Jinnah proved to be!

Mr. Lone of Peoples Conference (PC) recently stated, "We are Kashmiris and Muslims ...". His father was a pro Pakistani element as was Syed Ali Shah Geelani and others. PC is supposed to be "Mainstream"; again one sees a communal intent because the ideology is based on Ummah. Mr. Lone can never be pro India because his ideology compels him to sympathise with Pak. He has given provocative statements about Art 370.

Ms. Mehbooba Mufti of JKPDP , heir apparent of Mufti Mohammad Syeed a rabidly communal element responsible for 1988 Anantnag riots and well known sympathiser of terrorists and their masters across the border; had the audacity to thank Pakistan and terrorists for allowing peaceful conduct of 2002 Assembly elections! Both daughter and father advocate talks with Pakistan on "Kashmir" issue. Can you or your leadership ask her Why? After Taliban took charge of Afghanistan Mehbooba Mufti suggested to Taliban that they must implement "Pure Sharia"!

The author challenges all these "Mainstream" to debate publicly with him on Art 370 and why according to them India should talk to Pakistan on "Kashmir" problem.

The Indian leadership has to understand that these "Mainstream" are fundamentally sympathisers of Pakistan because of the commonality of the religion and ideology of Political Islam. Their hands are fully soaked in blood for whatever happened in J&K since 1988 and therefore cannot be trusted.

Encourage new Political Outfits to Emerge:

A section of the youth in Kashmir is both politically and socially active and who keep affirming their faith in the Indian Constitution and being Indian. They fielded their candidates as independents in Panchayat, BDC & DDC elections and won appreciable number of posts. The reason why "Mainstream" collectively fought DDC elections was that they were not sure of their individual support base.

From the print media and the debates on TV channels what has come to the notice of the author that a new political outfit JKWP has been founded led by young men who always speak for India.

The LG instead of talking to "Mainstream" who have stabbed India in the back should put in efforts to encourage outfits like JKWP and also encourage J&K youth to found their own political outfits so that the "Mainstream" can be dispatched in to a political oblivion.

Mr. LG there shall be no peace in the UT of J&K unless the "Mainstream" are shown their real place and that is the dustbin of Indian political system.
