Hizab Issue: Religious or Political

Lalit K Kaul

The timing is perfect as the stage is set for polarization of votes in the ongoing UP elections as also the upcoming elections in Goa, Manipur, Punjab and Uttarakhand. The protests have spread in many States in our country supposedly against the “oppression” of Muslims by the “fascist” NDA regime. Having thoroughly understood the incapability of the incumbent government to handle such protests (anti CAA/”Farmer” protests) the ongoing protests may extend to cover the upcoming elections in Himanchal and Gujarat.

Anti CAA and “Farmer” Protests:

Thankfully Covid–19 cleared Shaheen Bagh and other places in our country even as the Delhi CM wanted at least 500 protestors to stay in Shaheen Bagh but moderated it to 50 and couldn’t succeed. The “Farmer” movement was allowed to succeed in undermining the Parliament (the temple of democratic dispensation) and to justify that our PM came up with the most ridiculous rationale when he shamelessly adopted a very high moral ground and announced, in his address to the Nation, withdrawal of the Agri Laws for the reason that “some of the farmers were not happy with the new laws”. What needs to be pondered about is: since when did Democracy (where majority opinion rules) become consensus based?

Those who untiringly scream “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Matram” ended up bringing disrepute to our Nation in the hope of winning more seats in Assembly elections in states like Delhi and Punjab. The Delhi electorate gifted the BJP with a very humiliating slap for their inability to clear Shaheen Bagh scandal and save commuters from daily harassment.

It was not as much about “some farmers not happy with the laws” as it was about the impact the laws would have on the Jat belt in UP. So, the UP elections were uppermost in BJP’s mind. Why, then, cause inconvenience to commuters for more than a year? Hoping to tire out the goons who had gheraoed our National Capital, but the goons turned out to be smarter as they were supported by those who are on lifetime bail from the courts and by a CM who doesn’t know when and to whom he was born as according to him he doesn’t have a birth certificate.

Captain Amrinder Singh publicly stated that he had suggested to the BJP that his newly founded party would jointly fight the elections in Punjab if the Agri Laws were repealed and the “Sapoots” of “Bharat Mata” could not resist the temptation. The icing on the cake was that BJP would be the senior partner in the coalition; it was like a dream the BJP had never dared to see.

It’s very clear that for the lust of capturing power in the States, the “Sapoots” of “Bharat Mata” were unhesitant in auctioning her honour. The “Sapoots” have set such precedence, in their greed to gain political power, that the protests like the ongoing one have emerged that undoubtedly, like the preceding two, are sponsored by the forces inimical to the integrity of our country.

The Afghan Taliban and Pakistani Leadership:

The rulers in Afghanistan and Pakistan are unable to feed their populace what with sinking economies; one is in debt trap and the other has no money to even run its day to day affairs. One is longing to restart trade with India and the other is recipient of huge medical and food aid from India since August 15, 2021. Yet both have tended to stoke fires in our country based on religious bigotism and they are aware that in this insidious act of theirs they have their handlers in India. These Indian handlers are not specific to any religion.

The Taliban take pride in their barbaric acts of caning and stoning women publicly and the Pakistanis take pride in beating to death a mentally retarded person/ beating and burning alive a Sri Lankan on charges of blasphemy and according to them all this is as ordained in their Quran.

The Taliban and “custodians” of Islam in India (which also includes non Muslims like Kejris, Mamtas and Sonias et al) and Pakistan need to be told that wearing Hizab is not ordained in the Holy Quran. In fact, in the Holy Quran the men are ordained to look downwards if they find a woman coming in the direction opposite to theirs.

In Chapter 24, known as an-Nur (the Light), in verse 30, Allah commands Prophet Muhammad as follows:

“Say to the believing men that: they should cast down their glances and guard their private parts (by being chaste). This is better for them.”(24:30).

This is a command to Muslim men that they should not lustfully look at women (other than their own wives); and in order to prevent any possibility of temptation, they are required to cast their glances downwards. This is known as “hijab of the eyes”

“Say to the believing women that: they should cast down their glances and guard their private parts (by being chaste)…” (24:31).

This is a similar command as given to the men in the previous verse regarding “hijab of the eyes”

Therefore Hizab is not a religious symbol and nor is there any concept (mandatory) for Muslim women to wear it. This physical object called Hizab is invention of Moulvis and Maulanas only to harass the Muslim women coming from poor families. No lady anchor in Pak wears it; Indian Moulvis dare not tell Muslim women from aristocratic and rich families to wear Hizab because they are sustained by the rich ones.

Sinister Political Design:

No matter what Asaddudin Owaisi may tell Pakistanis for public consumption, it’s a known fact that from his podium (during anti CAA protests) slogans like “Pakistan Zindabad” were raised; in his presence his brother Akbaruddin Owaisi abuses Hindus and threatens them with dire consequences only if law and order machinery is paralyzed for 15 minutes. It’s Asaddudin Owaisi who during his UP campaign threatened the policemen with unthinkable consequences once Yogi Adityanath is packed off to Gorakhnath. He is known to talk only communal language; post Delhi riots he asked in the Parliament as to how many Muslims were killed. He reminds one of Jinnah, every time he opens his mouth.

During anti CAA protests, many TV Channels showed such videos of Moulvis and Maulanas in which they explicitly instigated their followers to prepare graves for the “Kafirs” and many such Hindu hatred speeches.

None of these Muslims who masquerade as politicians can give one plausible reason for anti CAA protests. The CAA was/is not against the interests of Indian Muslims, but their engineered protests (supported by other depraved politicians) was for the purpose of allowing “persecuted” Muslims in other countries to avail citizenship in India; to begin with the aim was to regularize the illegal B’desh immigrants and Rohingyas as those would form their vote bank enabling them to win elections in sensitive border areas and, in the process, facilitate the terrorists entry in to our country.

The sinister political design is to keep alive a Muslim identity by insisting on Hizab, a cap and a beard without moustache and thereby not assimilate into an Indian identity. That a young burqua clad lady is jumping on the road and screaming “Allah O Akbar”, is not an act of childishness but a small visual of a sinister political design/conspiracy hatched by her masters; earlier during anti CAA protests, one girl student in Jamia Islamia declared from the podium that she did not accept India as a single entity! Jinnah must be pleased in his grave because the political seed sown by him has ultimately sprouted once again in India.

No follower of other religions strives to make his/her religious identity public because they fundamentally derive their identity from being an Indian. The Muslims who don’t display their so called religious symbols on their person are considered apostates by the followers of Jinnah. The likes of Jinnah (who abound in India) are motivated by the Khurasan Hadith and hence the ISIS, Al Qaeda and other such outfits are their real life heroes. All of them share a common dream political aim: to live for the day when in India and elsewhere all idolaters would have been smashed to death or made to accept Islam; as their ideologues brainwash them into believing that “Qayamat Ka Din” is only awaiting the day when one and all in the world would be followers of Islam and only then those who being in the cause of Allah achieved it would have the rendezvous with 72 Hoors in Jannat where rivers of milk and honey flow. It is captivating to watch the leading Moulvis in Pakistan describing the beauty of Hoors in Jannat. So, it is not in the interest of the Indian Nation to take such developments lightly because they are a threat to its integrity and value system that ingrains harmonious co existence.

The Secular State:

The (non) issue has once again gone to the court because the administrative machinery has all but collapsed and no longer realizes that it’s an instrument of a secular State. Secularism is the most prostituted word in our country, but being Secular is different from secularism.

A secular State is the one in which religion(s) play no role in managing/administering day to day affairs in the secular world; that is to say that no decision/plans/programmes of the government of the day and its institutions shall be governed by certain religious doctrines invoking the existence of God; the premise is that the God has no role in the sensory world that is perceived by human senses and accordingly acted upon. Therefore the worship or otherwise of God is one’s personal matter and is best restricted to his/her household or the religious places not built by the State machinery. It may be understood that private enterprises are not bound by it so one finds people joining hands to build/renovate a religious place; perform prayers, etc.

Any institution/department/enterprise run by the State can be under no religious influence and therefore one cannot perform religious activities within a government campus; all religious rights cease to exist the moment one steps in to a State run institution/department/enterprise; one cannot insist on display of his/her religious affiliation because the State is Secular.

So, the administrative machinery should have, in accordance with the principles of the State, come down heavily on such erring students- irrespective of their religion- to the extent of even discharging them from the institution. The administrative machinery did not do it because it is thoroughly compromised and corrupted over the years of its existence. So the matter landed in the lap of their Lordships!

Their Lordships too will not straightaway dismiss the case and order the students to fall in line and not carry religion to government run institutions. They will take as long a time as would allow the protests to simmer to the extent that intensity of anti CAA and Farmer Gherao politics gets revived; all indications are towards that as the so called protests have already spread in many parts of the country and have begun to find support from depraved politicians across the degenerate political spectrum. All these types of activities that essentially are backed by a political doctrine which is inimical to the sovereignty and integrity of India and all this has been possible because the present NDA (BJP) government is too obsessed with winning elections and capturing political power in Indian States. The HM of India must stop functioning like an election agent/strategist and perform his duties as per the Indian Constitution. Let the HM not compromise the integrity of our Nation for the sake of winning elections.
