The Congress party that one refers to in today's India is different from the Indian National Congress (INC) which led the Indian freedom movement from the front and came to symbolize Indian Nationalism as it represented the people of Indian Subcontinent transcending all the barriers of religion, caste, sex, culture, belief systems, etcetera in its fight against British colonialism. Post Sri Lal Bahadur Shastry's era, the INC went through a split and the faction that survived came to be known as Congress(I); I for Indira. So, it was reduced to a political outfit that centered around an individual. Post Smt. Indira Gandhi's assassination the Cong(I) became a rudderless ship and managed to be a ruling party in the Lok Sabha, not continuously though, by dint of employing all possible ways like, it won 1984 Lok Sabha election by thoroughly exploiting dead body of Smt. Gandhi as huge posters were made and paintings on the walls done that showed her bullet ridden body with blood all around; Sri P V Narshimha Rao ruled for a full term by using money bank politics and thereafter it was forced into being a part of UPA- a conglomerate of various outfits which were self declared “secular". Before becoming a part of UPA the erstwhile Cong(I) chose to humiliate Sri Narshimha Rao and Sri Sitaram Kesri only to handover the reins of the party to an individual of Italian origin who was a rank outsider to India as the Entity.

Bharat Todo Abhiyaan of Congress:

Post assassination of Smt. Indira Gandhi, Sri Rajiv Gandhi was installed as the Prime Minister (PM) of India without caring to convene a meeting of Congress Working Committee and the reason given was “integrity of India was under threat”. The first act of Rajiv Gandhi was to instigate Sikh riots through Congress workers. The Sikh community known for its valour and sacrifice when it came to fight barbarism of Moghul rulers led by Gurus and against British colonialism, and thereafter defending the borders of independent India through Indian military, was subjected to until then unimaginable and unprecedented acts of barbarism that left it totally traumatised. The successive Congress governments never brought the culprits to justice whereas the schemers of Smt. Indira Gandhi's assassination continued to enjoy reins of political power both within the Congress party and country. Except for Sri A B Vajpayee's tenure as the PM their rule extended up to 2014.

The Sonia Congress Regime (2004 – 2014):

That to install Smt. Sonia Gandhi as the President of the then Congress, Sri P V Narshimha Rao and Sri Sitaram Kesri had to humiliated was symbolic of the abysmal degeneration in the party organisation. It could have been nobody's thesis that within the party there was nobody capable of leading it and therefore its destiny was to be handed over to a rank outsider who was not of Indian origin. How in this period the Indian interests were harmed in every possible way to ensure that 1) the manufacturing sector is made defunct, 2) defence preparedness is given the least priority to the extent of its total neglect, 3) “Saffron terror” is promoted and 4) Fake Indian currency printing is encouraged for terror funding to ensure that  terrorism flourishes unchecked across the length and breadth of our country enabling frequent bomb blasts as a matter of routine, is detailed in the following lines.

1.       Undermining Defence Preparedness:

The Congress party’s governments at the Centre which lived on kickbacks in defence deals- the most infamous one being Bofors guns procurement in which the then PM was directly accused of having taken the bribe – failed to clinch any deal for fighter aircrafts for Indian Air force (IAF) under the leadership of “honest" defence minister Sri A K Anthony. The Augusta Westland Helicopter was another scandalous deal. But, the most outstanding act inimical to India's security concerns along the Line of Actual Control is related to the airstrip at Daulat Beg Oldi.

Daulat Beg Oldi, 16,700 ft above mean sea level, is a small campsite, virtually at the base of the strategic Karakoram Pass. Being at the base of the Karakoram Pass, this place has immense strategic implications, which is why the Indian Army has been at DBO since the late 1950s. DBO is adjacent to the Chip Chap River, lies 8 km south and 9 km west of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China. The air distance to the Karakoram Pass from DBO is just 10 km. Can there be a greater strategic location?

The base was established during the Sino-Indian conflict in 1962, with the first landing by Squadron Leader C.K.S Raje who set a record for the world's highest aircraft landing at the time. It was operated with American-supplied Fairchild Packets from 1962 to 1966, when it had to be closed down suddenly when an earthquake caused loosening of the surface soil, making the area unsuitable for fixed-wing aircraft In  March 2008 Air Marshal Pranab Barbora decided to repair the air strip to enable AN 32 aircraft to land on it, post presentation of the mission made by Sri Suryakant Chafekar, IAF pilot, without taking any permission from the defense ministry because for 40 long years the successive governments had not heeded to the requests made by the IAF regarding repairs of air strip enabling landing of aircrafts. Post successful landing of AN 32 aircraft, the UPA government was informed and the government showed its displeasure over the unilateral decision of Air Marshal Pranab Barbora.

The response of the government was as detailed below:

In 2011, the then Home Minister, Sri P Chidambaram, wrote a letter of apology to Chinese government on recommissioning of this air strip and promised that India would never use this air strip. In 2012, when Smt. Sushma Swaraj inquired from Sri A K Antony in Lok Sabha regarding infrastructural developments in North- East, he replied" we are not doing any developmental works there, not building any infrastructure by way of building roads etcetera because it will annoy Chinese! He is also on record having said that “we are no match for China and therefore there is no need to develop infrastructure along LAC. Remember that it was in 2008 the then Vice President of Congress, Sri Rahul Gandhi, signed an agreement with the CCP in Beijing while Sri Anand Sharma and Smt. Sonia Gandhi stood as witnesses!

2.       Invent Saffron Terror to Safeguard actual Terrorists:

Reference- The Myth of Hindu Terror: Insider Account of Ministry of Home Affairs; Author R V S Mani, Vitasta Publishing, 2018. Sri R V S Mani was joint secretary in Internal Security (IS) department of Home Ministry from the year 2006 to 2010.

Excerpts:

The author points out how the Congress-led UPA government had forced the MHA officials to manufacture a false narrative about the presence of “Hindu terror”. The author mentions how he was summoned by the then Home Minister Shivraj Patil to his chamber and was asked to share information on terrorist attacks. At the time Digvijaya Singh and former Maharashtra IPS officer Hemant Karkare, were sitting there seeking information from him. According to the author, both Singh and Karkare were unhappy with his information that “a particular religious group was in most of the terror attacks”. This was in June 2006 and according to him, it was during this time that the “first seed of the canard” that there existed Hindu terror was sown. “At a time when we had the best team in the IS division, the attitude of the government in power and intent to cover every terror incident as ‘saffron’ and the ambivalence in acting against the real perpetrators of the terror attacks was making this country a cannon folder for those with evil designs against India”. The NIA introduced a non-existent “Hindu terrorism” concept. “In every case assigned to NIA, they overlooked the first set of evidence and replaced it with the evidences supporting the Hindu terror narrative”. He also points out how the CBI sat on requests by the Indian representative to UN when he sought evidence against Dawood Ibrahim which only the CBI had since the “political quarters when P. Chidambaram was the Home Minister, were against providing any hardcore evidence against Dawood to the UN”. He also talks about how credible inputs about an impending terror attack on Mumbai were not heeded to by the MHA due to intervention from “top political office”. “ .. the terrorists got crucial hours to “secure” themselves”. Officials involved in internal security were pressurized to bend to illegal, immoral political orders that suited the interest of the political dispensation—this led to irreparable damage to the country, like the 26/11 attack. 

3.       Flourishing Fake Currency Racket:

Says Dr. Subramanian Swamy, “In the year 2004 when Sri Chidambaram became the finance minister, he placed the order for printing Indian currency with a London based company called De La Rue despite the agencies like CBI and IB cautioning him against it for the reasons that it was a private and not government owned company and therefore there would be no bar on it on printing extra notes and giving it to Pakistan which too was getting its currency printed from it and what the agencies like CBI had feared same thing happened. Post Mumbai bomb blasts, Chidambaram took charge of home affairs and Sri Pranab Mukherjee replaced him. Sri Mukherjee, on being briefed about printing of currency, immediately put a stop to it and banned it. In the year 2012, when Sri Chidambaram returned as finance minister, he once again brought in De La Rue and gave it 3 years contract extending up to 2015. So, Mr. Jaitely should have known, but he didn't do anything. Thus, Pakistan was facilitated by the Indian finance minister to print fake Indian currency notes with an accuracy that detection became near impossible. This racket was exposed when demonetization was implemented in November, 2016 as fresh notes were found to be present.” That Pakistan was zealously printing fake currency notes, became clear when it was found out that Pak was ordering paper from De La Rue in quantities much higher than what India had done!

According to Sri R V S Mani, the fake currency notes were pumped in to India via Pakistan embassies in Nepal, Sri Lanka and via Bengal etc. The exchange rate was anywhere between 43% to near 50%. That's for every 1000 Rs. fake note pumped in to India, Pakistan got 430 to 500 Indian currency notes and that this racket stimulated terrorism in India. Demonetization broke the back of terrorism and that's why the Congress and Samajwadi party and communists opposed it. According to Sri Mani, Col. Purohit was imprisoned on false charges because he had name Abu Azmi, SP MLA, from Maharashtra in the fake currency racket who was responsible for distributing fake currency notes in 3 States like Karnataka, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. A Pak diplomat was caught in Bangladesh who named 3 people Digvijay Singh, Abu Azmi and Azam Khan, an MLA from Mumbai, as involved in fake currency racket.

The effect of demonetization was such that it broke back of terror funding and Javed Phanani of Pak who marveled in printing fake currency from Karachi is believed to have committed suicide. That’s the reason why the opposition opposed demonetization.

4.       Dismantling India's Manufacturing Sector:

As mentioned in the preceding paragraphs, Sri Rahul Gandhi signed an agreement with CCP in 2008; the agreement is believed to have come now in the custody of Modiji’s government and it is said to have some 182 points of agreement. The political analyst Sri R Rajagopalan says that via this agreement India was sold to China and facilitators were Dr. Manmohan Singh, Sri Chidambaram and Sri A K Antony working at the behest of Smt. Sonia Gandhi. One can relate signing of this document to Daulat Beg Oldi and other neglects of defense preparedness; as also near demise of Micro Small Mini Manufacturing (MSME) sector in India. It affected even toys, crackers and idols manufacturing industry. The Indian markets were flooded with Chinese goods that lacked quality. Modiji's Make in India program has begun to revive India's manufacturing sector.

Conclusion:

The genesis of the campaign against Modiji- which reached its pinnacle with the release of BBC documentary on 2002 Gujrat riots- by self certified “secular" political outfits is for the reason that, 1) his government has been in the process of reversing the policies of the UPA government and it hurts the Sonia Congress most because it may be violating its agreement with the CCP, 2) demonetization broke the back of terrorism in India, 3) the myth of “Saffron terror” has been busted and real culprits are being targeted which, incidentally, is coming in the way of Ghazwa 2047 that makes the likes of Asaddudin Owaisi declare quite often “Muslims are living under fear" and 4) multiple welfare schemes instituted by Modiji's government are catering to the needs of all underprivileged, much to the chagrin of communalists who masquerade as “secularists".

Sri Rahul Gandhi has to do a lot of explaining no matter how many Bharat Jodo Yatra he conducts.
